Tex Cycle Environmental Policy
- We are concerned with suitable development and continual protection as an integral part of the organisation process development.
- We commit to continual improvement, strive to prevent pollution and work towards reducing waste and consumption of resources that can affect the environment.
- We make efforts to ensure all our activities comply with environmental regulation. Any non-compliance would be rectified in the shortest time possible.
- We set objectives and targets on a continual basis on environmental impact assessment findings and review them annually.
- Provide documentation on Environmental Management System and make employees, contractors and all the members working at the site aware of them.
- We communicate our Environmental Policy to all employees, contractors and make it available to the public upon request.
The following are the actions related to the Environmental Policy which have been taken by Tex Cycle.
GPS Tracking System for the trucks
- Impact to Society – Accountability to waste generator on the logistic of the waste and ensuring ‘cradle to grave’ responsibility carried out by the contractors.
- Impact to Environment – Provide direct location of the waste in order to assist in identifying location of the waste in case of emergency.
- Impact to Economy – Integrity to the schedule waste management industry and traceability for the references of the DOE officers. Required some budget allocation for the GPS tracking system on the trucks.
Cross Training with Customers
- Impact to Society – Well prepared to handle emergency situations and improves by learning from others. Require time allocation for the staff attending the training.
- Impact to Environment – Respond promptly to emergency situation therefore preventing further pollution to the environment.
- Impact to Economy – Prevent high losses to property if emergency situation is attended to effectively and efficiently.
Staff Development
- Impact to Society – Encourages the staff to be more proactive in day to day work and provide opportunity to develop new skills.
- Impact to Environment – Increase the awareness and knowledge on the importance of conserving the environment through the environmental programmes and activities available.
- Impact to Economy –Secure customers’ trust and confidence in the company’s EMS practices.
School Programmes & Community Services
- Impact to Society – Bringing the environmental awareness and responsibility messages to children in the hope that these messages will eventually be brought to the children’s homes, schools and communities.
- Impact to Environment – School children gets the opportunity to appreciate and conserve nature and receive a detailed picture of the danger of scheduled and solid waste.
- Impact to Economy – Time and resources allocation for such event is important and will determine the success of the event.
University Support
- Impact to Society – Research collaborated with the local universities provides an opportunity for local talent and knowledge shared among the community.
- Impact to Environment – Ability to generate projects related with the local environment and community in conserving the environment.
- Impact to Economy – Generate processes which are locally based and reduced revenue cost by importing foreign technology. Furthermore, local based technology requires less surrounding adaptation.
Customer & Supplier Support
- Impact to Society – Support and encourages customers and suppliers in their environmental programmes for the local community. Community benefits from the environmental programmes provided by these industries.
- Impact to Environment – Customers and suppliers will improve in the EMS implementation and pollute less. Spreading the environmental awareness message into other type of industries.
- Impact to Economy – Benefits both supplier and customer and Tex Cycle. Customer and supplier are able to achieve their EMS target while Tex Cycle is able to increase the awareness of scheduled waste management.
Government Support
- Impact to Society – Carry out the message of environmental awareness and conservation to mass community.
- Impact to Environment – Educating the public on scheduled waste awareness and the danger of treating scheduled waste as domestic waste.
- Impact to Economy – Increase customer database but allocation of time, budget and resources is required.
