Concept of waste minimization practice in Tex Cycle

  • Common sense waste reduction
  • Information driven waste reduction
  • Audit dependant waste reduction
  • Research & Development based waste reduction

Waste Minimisation Activities in Tex Cycle

  • Wastewater is recycled and reused
  • Damaged Materials are converted to co-products
  • Tapioca based degradable plastics are being used
  • Solar Energy is used for heating of water
  • Research is being carried out to find a better solution for Sludge disposal
  • Addition of lime in the raw sludge before drying step reducing half the time required for drying
  • Regular monitoring is done to keep a check on the emissions and other discharges
  • Environmental Management activities are updated accordingly

Benefits of Waste Minimisation Practices

  • Water Saved per month = RM. 2400 and thereby RM. 63000 yearly.
  • Compliance with the EQA standards and prescribed licenses
  • Co-Products like TC wipes, Sorbent bags etc. are rented out to industries. They are more durable than other wipes and last longer
  • Input waste materials and Recycled materials which are sold to other recyclers are a profit for Tex Cycle
  • Energy is saved by using solar energy and the addition of lime in the sludge treatment.
